Precautions: IG traffic directed to plan for rainy season

KARACHI: Sindh IGP Shahid Nadeem Baloch has asked the additional IG traffic to devise a rain emergency plan to tackle any problems commuters may face.

During the monsoon season, the traffic police should be deployed on major highways, traffic junctions, intersections and roundabouts and steps should be taken to streamline traffic flow.

Cranes and machinery should be available to pull broken down vehicles from the roads during rains and alternative routes should be arranged, particularly in the low-lying areas, said the IGP.
