Blood Donor Day: Stepping forward for donations

A high number of students and volunteers donated their blood on the occasion.

BANNU: A leading official Bannu Medical College Dr Hafizullah Khan said that a large number of women die every year due to insufficient quantity of hemoglobin in the blood or anemia. He urged youngsters to donate generously for patients who are in urgent need of blood. Talking to media persons at a local health complex on World Blood Donor Day, Khan removed the general misconception about blood donation saying that it does not have any negative impact on the health of people and instead produces fresh and new blood in the body. He also urged people to check their blood groups and properly screen it so as to timely detect different types of diseases. Khan also reiterated lessons from Islamic history and urged people to help others irrespective of their religion, cast and creed. A high number of students and volunteers donated their blood on the occasion.
