CJP takes suo moto notice on price hike of petroleum products

Notices sent to the attorney general and OGRA officials.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan late on Thursday night, took a suo moto notice on the increase in prices of petroleum products, Express News reported.

A three member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the case on Friday.

Notices were also sent to the Attorney General and officials of the Oil Gas and Regulatory Authority.

The CJP took suo moto on the SC registrar’s note.
