Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had anticipated light and moderate rainfall with gusty winds in most cities and towns of Upper Sindh during the next 24 hours.
However, the pre-monsoon currents from Arabian Sea, approaching the rest of the country, also soaked Karachi today.
Citizens are reportedly travelling to the beach to enjoy the pleasant weather.
Express News reported that some areas lost electricity after the rain started.
PMD Director-General Arif Mehmood while speaking to The Express Tribune had said that the pre-monsoon rains, which had begun in Lahore, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Islamabad in second week of June, would continue till around June 16.
