Allah Ditta managed to break the chain on his feet and fled while the policemen were away for lunch.
A robbery suspect under treatment at the hospital escaped on Wednesday. The policemen who had escorted him to the hospital went missing.
CIA police had arrested the robbery suspect- identified as Allah Ditta- from Alpa area a few weeks ago. He was injured in an escape attempt and taken to Nishtar Hospital. Assistant Sub Inspector Nausherwan and Constable Imran were deputed at the hospital for his security. On Wednesday, Allah Ditta managed to break the chain on his feet and fled while the policemen were away for lunch. When the policemen returned and found him missing, they also fled fearing arrest. Cantt police were informed and a case was registered against them. Alpa station house officer said that Allah Ditta was wanted in more than 12 robbery cases.
