ISLAMABAD:
Students of O-levels protested at D-Chowk on Tuesday against the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) decision of reexamination for two O-level papers, citing ‘breach of security’.
Students who gave their Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat exams in May would have to do so again on June 13 and June 14.
Faizan, an O-levels student, said it is almost impossible to reappear in the examinations within ten days. The students were holding placards saying ‘this is unfair’ and ‘do not ruin our future’.
A father of an aggrieved student, Aurangzeb, submitted an application with the Capital Administration and Development joint secretary asking the Government of Pakistan to take notice of the issue. “The Government should convey our concerns to the British Council,” he maintained in the application.
CIE had announced that those who do not wish to sit in the paper on the said dates can do so in the board’s November exam session.

"Students who gave their Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat exams in May...." The correct way to say is "Students who took their Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat exams in May..." Students always take an exam and the school or university always gives them.
