Habib University board of governors met the owners and principals of various schools this week to take their ideology a step further.

Based on the concept of ‘Yohsin’, which means thoughtful self-cultivation, the governors discussed how engraved the idea has become in their own lives as well. The university chairperson, Rafiq M Habib, hosted the dinner which provided an opportunity to the rest of the governors to network with businessmen, media owners and philanthropists.

As he welcomed the guests, the university president, Wasif Rizvi, mentioned how far the board has come since September 2012. He was grateful to the board members for being a part of the venture and sharing their global expertise, knowledge and invaluable feedback to the university’s progress. The members reiterated their faith in the project and agreed that it was the best time to launch such a state-of-the-art university in Pakistan.

On May 31, Habib University hosted its second board meeting, which was attended by Rafiq M. Habib, Lt. General Tariq Waseem Ghazi (retd), Ali Suleman Habib, Mohamedali Rafiq Habib, Dr Shahid Ansari, Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Dr Arvid Nelson, Dr Gowher Rizvi, Wasif Rizvi, Dr Chuck Thorpe and Dr Mark Weichold.
