
The Pakistan Army has established a joint response centre – 1125 at Qila Iqbal Gar to initiate swift action against terrorist attacks and respond to emergency situations in DI Khan. The army along with police and civilians will perform duties round the clock.
Any citizen can call the centre from a landline or cell phone and report any suspicious activity or individual. They can also report accidents, including a fire. The caller’s identity will be kept confidential, said Station Commander Brigadier Mansoor Aziz while inaugurating the centre on Thursday.
He said the centre aims to facilitate the public and ensure law and order in the district. He requested citizens to call the centre without any hesitation and act responsibly for the larger public interest.
DIG Muhammad Ali Baba Khel said every citizen must remain vigilant and inform law enforcement agencies of any incident so that timely action could be taken.
