PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah Khan on Thursday said mismanagement in the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) and other public sectors has restricted the nation from prospering.

Talking to former Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) chief executive Abdur Rashid Gandapur who briefed the governor on strengthening the power supply system in the tribal areas, Shaukatullah blamed state functionaries of being insensitive to the effects of corruption and corrupt practices.

Meanwhile, a delegation comprising K-P Commissioner for Afghan Refugees Ziaur Rehman, Additional Commissioner (Logistic) Ghulam Nabi, Additional Commissioner Waqar Maroof, among others also called on the governor to discuss developmental projects being implemented in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

On the occasion, the governor handed car keys of a HiAce vehicle to the principal of Degree College Bajaur.
