End loadshedding at hospitals: YDA gives government 72 hours

If hospitals were not supplied uninterrupted electricity in three days, YDA would start protest demonstrations.

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur chapter of the Young Doctors Association on Tuesday gave the Punjab government 72 hours to end loadshedding in hospitals. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, YDA members Dr Zulqarnain, Dr Aamir Majid, Dr Afzal Randhawa and Dr Wasim Akhtar said the government’s apathy in this regard was causing deaths. They said if hospitals were not supplied uninterrupted electricity in three days, they would start protest demonstrations. Other YDA chapters would also join the protest, they said. They said surgeries were being delayed because of the loadshedding.
