HYDERABAD: An under-trial prisoner implicated in many cases of murder, robbery and kidnapping escaped on Monday from the district prison of Benazirabad.

According to the superintendent, Akbar Shah, Peeral Dahiri, alias Peeru, climbed the jail’s boundary wall during early morning hours when prisoners are allowed to come out of their cells.

Shah said he has filed an FIR at the A-Section police station, nominating four jail wardens who were manning the watch tower. Three of them have been suspended, he added.
