LAHORE:

Unfolding features of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) budget proposals for forthcoming national annual budget, FPCCI President Zubair Ahmad Malik said the FPCCI demanded fair and equitable taxation for the various sectors of the economy, including agriculture.

“Our economy remained under pressure due to the global financial meltdown. The risk of macroeconomic instability is increasing despite signs of robust corporate profits and modest improvement in the economy”, the FPCCI chief said. He said that currently the country is confronting an unending sequence of adverse geopolitical, internal and external security threats which will continue to affect the economy.
