Karachi Mass Transit Project chief escapes attack

Munawar Imam suffered injuries and was immediately rushed to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

KARACHI: Karachi Mass Transit Project Director General (DG) Munawar Imam was injured in an attack on Monday, Express News reported.

According to initial reports, Imam was travelling in his official  car, bearing number plate GS 7249, was fired at by unknown men on a motorbike near Kashmir Road.

The official was injured in the attack and was rushed to Jinnah hospital in a precarious condition where doctors said all efforts were being made to treat him.

The attackers fled the scene immediately after the attack.
