Militants Attack: 2 security men killed in Kurram

PARACHINAR: At least two security personnel including a captain were killed and 18 others were injured when militants attacked a security check-post in central Kurram Agency on Thursday.

An official of the security forces said that in the early hours of Thursday dozens of militants armed with rockets attacked security forces check-post in Zarah Mela area of the troubled Para Chamkani mountainous region in Central parts of the agency in which 2 security personnel were killed and 8 were injured.

The official claimed that more than 15 militants were also killed in the attack and security forces retaliated and forced the militants to flee from the area.

Heavy gunfire was exchanged by both the militants and forces against each other the official added.
