Energy crisis: Residents facing water shortage

Due to loadshedding, all water pumps are not being run which is causing the water scarcity, says official.

MUZAFFARABAD: As mercury rises, scarcity of water has brought life to a halt in various localities. Residents of Tariqabad, Gojra, Neelam Colony and Chela Bandhi have raised concern over the matter, accusing the water supply department of not supplying water for the last two days. They said they have to cover long distances to fetch water and asked the government to take notice of the issue. Meanwhile, the officials of the relevant department said that due to loadshedding, all water pumps are not being run which is causing the water scarcity in suburbs of the city. However, the official said, the problem would be resolved soon.
