The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalised arrangements for a two-day auction of commercial plots starting from Tuesday. The auction is being held to raise much-needed revenue for the civic agency.

A meeting was held at CDA headquarters, during which participants were informed that 22 commercial plots in various categories, earmarked for the construction of filling station, wedding halls, five-star hotels, conference and exhibition centres and class-III shopping centres will be presented for open auction.

These plots are located in sectors E-11, G-11, G-10, I-8, G-9, F-10, I-10, F-11 and Blue Area.

CDA Chairman Tahir Shahbaz, who chaired the meeting, said the purpose of the auction was to provide opportunities to business persons to help boost the economic activities in the federal capital.

The auction will be supervised by an auction committee, headed by Member Finance Azhar Ali Chaudhry, comprising  Member Planning and Design Mustafain Kazmi, Member Estate Shaista Sohail and directors of Finance, Estate Management-I, Estate Management-II and Public Relations directorates.

To ensure maximum participation CDA has widely publicised the upcoming auction. Brochures with terms and conditions are available at the counter for one window operation at CDA.

Banks have also finalised arrangements for establishment of counters to facilitate the participants of the auction.
