On May 9, the youngest son of former prime minister, Ali Haider, was kidnapped after an attack on a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) gathering in Multan.

On Thursday, security personnel recovered a captive and arrested four abductors in Nowshera during a search conducted to recover Ali Haider.

Sources told Dawn.com that the accused arrested today was identified as Wazir Gul and is the brother of the suspect arrested by police on Thursday in Nowshera.

Police say that Wazir Gul is running an inter-provincial gang of kidnappers and police is investigating him to find a clue to Gilani's son.
