The re-polling comes as a result of complaints made my political parties. Different parties alleged that rigging took place on the day of general elections.
Re-polling will be held at select polling stations in NA-269 Khuzdar, NA-41 Tribal Area 6 [Birmal, Waha, Trikhel and Tiaraza tehsils of South Waziristan Agency] and NA-46 Tribal Area 11 [Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency]. The provincial seats are PK-71 Bannu 2 and PK-72 Bannu 3.
The schedule is:
- NA-41 – May 21
- NA-46 – May 25
- NA-269 – May 21
- PK-71 – May 25
- PK-72 – May 25

Paper is senseless ....I am 100 % in favour of electronic system. SInce the database of Thumb impression already exist with NADRA (supposedly) polling can be done electonically that way you can only vote once. Then we will still need Army to oversea the process that nobody is held at gun point at voting station.
Results will be out for each polling directly after the closing. No more waiting for counting and stuff.
Electronic systems only work on ELECTRICITY !!
So, if the KPK winning party hasn't threatened ECP, it's repolling in these constituencies. Why not re-poll in constituencies where massive rigging took place, in Punjab and Karachi and that too with evidence!
Usama, electronic polling systems can generally be modified by whoever's responsible for gathering the votes; it's just too easy to hack into or modify the system. Not even the United States uses 100% electronic voting. Some jurisdictions do, but not all.
As Ustaz mentioned, implementing a mix of both is the most viable solution.

Why not get rid of this ballot paper and introduce a thumb impression procedure to cast vote using a machine?? Even in India, these ballot papers are not being used. I am sure rigging would be nullified if electronic system is introduced.. !
Does anyone know which party won all those seats in first round?
I don't know if anyone in Pakistan is familiar with the word 'oversight'?
Were there any ads aired by the ECP guiding the masses, many of whom are illiterate, on what the voting procedures are?
Where were the security forces and who had the authority to stop any activity which was unlawful?
My own take on what has happened is that all members of the ECP should be tried for dereliction of duty. They failed the nation.
