Suicide attack: Quetta police register FIR

Police teams have been continuing efforts to trace the suspects.

The civil lines police registered a first information report (FIR) of the suicide attack at the official residence of Balochistan Inspector General Police (IGP) Mushtaq Sukhira.


Police told APP on Tuesday that on behalf of plaintiff Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Ramazan, who was also injured in the suicide truck blast, an FIR was registered against unidentified persons under sections 324, 202 and 427 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

ASI Muhammad Ramazan was present at the picket when the suicide bomber rammed his truck loaded with 2,000 kgs explosives against the boulders kept outside the house of the IGP Balochistan and exploded it.  Eight people were killed and 97 others injured in the suicide explosion. The injured were being provided medical treatment at Combined Military Hospital and Civil Hospital. Police teams have been continuing efforts to trace the suspects.
