HANGU: A man wanted in cases of target killing, extortion and aiding militants was arrested in a police raid on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday. Police official Azmat Khan said Abidur Rahman alias Charg, who was working for the Nabi Hanfi Group, was planning a terrorist attack when an informant tipped off the police of his whereabouts. Special police squad officials rushed to the Bahadur Bhanda area, cordoned off all routes leading in and out and arrested Rahman as he was coming out of a house. Azmat said they had shoot-at-site orders, but the accused surrendered and was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Two hand grenades and a pistol along with bullets were recovered from his possession.
