KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rally outside Election Commission's provincial office was fired upon by unknown gunmen on Saturday, Express News reported.

The JI were protesting against the general elections when the gunmen opened fire.

The party leaders were still addressing their supporters. People immediately disbursed in the streets.

There was no sign of policemen and rangers who could contain the situation, Express News reported.
