Civil Aviation chief orders reshuffle

KARACHI: The recently appointed Director General (DG) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Nadeem Yousafzai, has ordered some important changes in CAA ranks, sources said.

General managers and other managers at different airports of the country have been replaced or transferred by the CAA chief. However, a CAA spokesperson did not confirm the appointments.

According to sources, Asghar Fahim Khattak has been appointed airport manager of Islamabad while Ayyaz Jadoon has been sent to the training institute at Hyderabad.

Sadiq Rehman, the GM of commercial cargo, has been transferred to the post of airport manager at Peshawar while the GM of estate at the CAA headquarters in Karachi has been sent to Gwadar as airport manager. Sumair Saeed has been sent to Islamabad as GM of the electrical and mechanical division at the airport.
