Revived growth: Minister vows to revive ailing industries
The caretaker government is striving for the promotion of industries, says Khalid Tawab.

Sindh Minister for Industries, Khalid Tawab, has said that ‘sick’ industries would be revived to help generate employment opportunities. He was presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sindh Small Industries Corporation (SSIC) here. The Minister further informed that for the revival of sick industries loans would be obtained from the banks. He also directed the officers of the SSIC that issue notices to owners of vacant plots in the industrial zones and asking them to establish industries there. Khalid Tawab said that the caretaker government is striving for the promotion of industries. He was informed by the board that the Sindh Small Industrial Zone was allotted 2,955 plots, on which 597 units were established out which some 109 units are ‘sick’.
