Development works: Malir Development Auth gets new chief

KARACHI: The new Director General of the Malir Development Authority, Muhammad Sohail, assumed his office on Tuesday, April 30 2013.

Muhammad Sohail worked in the MDA as a member of the administration before his promotion. Upon taking office Sohail immediately convened a meeting of the head of departments and asked them to complete all pending projects on an emergency basis so that the public can receive maximum benefit.

Director General MDA Muhammad Sohail promised that he will restore the agency’s image and was hopeful that the public will trust the development authority. He said that the because of the improving conditions under the current caretaker set up the projects under the MDA will get a boost.

Due to the hurdles brought in by the law and order situation which halted many development projects, he was hopeful that the current improvement in the situation will have a positive impact and promised all present of his co-operation.
