HYDERABAD: A strike was observed in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas districts on the call of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) on Tuesday.

The strike was in reaction to a medical report issued by a foreign lab that said that the deceased party chairperson, Bashir Qureshi, was not poisoned.

Following Qureshi’s death in April 2012 in Benazirabad, his family and party leaders claimed that he was poisoned.

Subsequently, a report was sent to a lab in the UK in November 2012 with the consent of Bashir’s heirs.

The party has now rejected the findings of the report and has demanded that their leader’s samples be handed back to them.
