ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Senator Pervez Rashid has said that while his party is contesting elections against political parties, in the war against terror, all political forces were united.

He said the PML-N and other parties who believed in parliamentary democracy and supremacy of the Constitution are all against terrorism.

Rashid said that although there are some difficulties because of terrorist incidents, it is good that Pakistan is heading towards elections.

He said this time the elections will be held in a free, fair, and transparent manner, and added that Pakistan was now entering a democratic state from an authoritarian state.

He said the PML-N too was a target of terrorism, and cited an incident in which the party’s Balochistan president, Sanaullah Zehri, was targeted and lost his son, brother and nephew.
