JAMRUD: Vehicles supplying goods to Nato troops stationed in Afghanistan came under attack in Jamrud on Tuesday. No human loss was reported in the incident. Asmatullah Wazir and khasadar officials were on a routine patrol in Jamurd when they were informed that a convoy of vehicles on Jamrud Bypass Road came under attack by unidentified motorcyclists who opened fire with an assault rifle. The attackers managed to escape the scene. Following the incident, khasadar officials launched a search operation in the area and arrested 12 tribesmen. Motorcycles were also confiscated from two people. Officials of the political administration have imposed a ban on motorcycles after consistent attacks on supply vehicles. Despite the ban, however, incidents of attacks on Nato supply containers are increasing with each passing day.
