Under attack: Three officials attacked in Orakzai

Arhanga Pass connects Orakzai Agency to the Tirah valley.

HANGU: A security forces’ check post in Arhanga Pass area of Orakzai Agency was stormed by almost a dozen militants, which left three security officials injured. In retaliation, forces claim to have killed four militants. According to details, more than 10 militants attacked Ittehad check post at around 6am, leading to an exchange of fire between officials and militants. The injured personnel were identified as Umer Daraz, Ishaq Khan and Naeem Khan, who were shifted to Kohat Combined Military Hospital. On Wednesday, a security official was injured when militants attacked the check post while on Monday militants attacked a security check post in Dabori, killing one official and injuring another. Arhanga Pass connects Orakzai Agency to the Tirah valley. Militants use this passage as their supply route but the security forces built a check post to block it.
