The representatives of World Wide Fund-Pakistan and a pharmceutical company, PharmEvo, planted saplings in two major government hospitals on Friday as part of their nationwide campaign for tree plantations.
Around 40 trees were planted in separate ceremonies at the Civil Hospital and Bhitai Hospital. WWF-P’s Nasir Abbass said that a total of 340 saplings will be planted at different places in Hyderabad, of which 300 have been given to PharmEvo. Urologist, Dr Farooq Siddiqui, who seeded a plant outside the Burns Ward of the Hyderabad Civil Hospital, observed that the hospital has very few trees.
Earlier, the plantation was carried out at the Bhitai Hospital where five saplings were sown while 15 were handed over to the hospital.
