ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Water and Power Dr Musaddaq Malik has said that the government is utilising all its available resources to overcome the energy crisis and to increase the production of electricity. Talking to a private news channel, he said that per unit production cost of electricity is the same as the cost paid by the consumer. He said that electricity production decreased due to shortage of oil and transmission line losses, adding that the government was directing all its efforts to reduce line losses and maintain a continuous supply of oil and gas to the power generator companies. Replying to another question, he said that the supply of oil and gas to power generation agencies would be provided based on their performance.
