Courtroom chaos: Brother of murdered police officer shoots accused in courtroom

NOWSHERA: A man accused of murder was killed after he presented himself in the courtroom of additional session Judge Rasheeda Bano and was fired upon by an armed man present at the hearing reported, Express News on Tuesday.

The accused was being tried in relation to the murder of a police officer in Nowshera. According to Express News, the shooter was identified as the brother of the murdered police officer.

The accused was hit by three bullets from the shooting and succumbed to injuries at the District Headquarter Hospital.

The cause of the shooting was described as enmity.

Police have arrested the shooter and retrieved weapons from his possession.
