Notification issued: Bounty on Uzair Baloch, 2 others withdrawn

The reason behind the decision has not been made clear yet.

KARACHI: The Sindh home department issued a notification to withdraw head money on three alleged gangsters namely Uzair Baloch head of the Peoples Amn Committee (PAC), Zahid Ladla and Taj Mohammad alias Taju from Lyari, reported Express News on Monday.

Pending cases have not been withdrawn against the alleged gangsters, only the bounty offered of Rs2m for Uzair Baloch, Rs0.5m for Zahid Ladla and Taj Mohammad was removed.

The head money for the three alleged gang members was announced on April 12, 2012.

These men are accused of running organised crime in the city’s oldest area, Lyari, and face many charges including murder, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, drug supply and other such heinous crimes.

Earlier on February 16, the provincial government withdrew the bounty on similar alleged gangsters Omar Katchi, Fahim, Sheraz Comrade, Abdul Jabbar Jhengo, Faisal Pathan, Rashid Rekha Bangali, Mullah Nisar and Rashid Lond.

The reason behind the decision has not been made clear yet.

No matter how strong they may be today, tomorrow the govt will themselve put a bullet in these gangster's head. These gangsters don't seem to learn from the history of their predecessors. The govt uses them and when their work is finished, they are also finished.
