LAHORE:

District Returning Officer Nazir Ahmed Ganjana has received the first report from the district coordination officer on the removal of alleged violations of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s code of conduct.

The DRO had issued show cause notices on April 12 to the DCO, the CCPO and Parks and Horticulture Authority director general seeking their explanation for not enforcing the code of conduct.

The DCO wrote that the matter had been referred to the town officers who had reported, in writing, that the alleged violations had been removed. The DRO had earlier directed the DCO, the CCPO and the PHA DG to remove the alleged violations and report compliance within a week.
