Disciplinary action: ‘Labour Dept performing poorly’

Labour secretary directed the DCOs to personally monitor the performance of labour officials.

FAISALABAD: The performance of Labour Department in 25 districts of the Punjab has been found poor. A meeting in this regard was held on Sunday with the labour secretary in the chair, who directed the district coordination officers to take disciplinary actions against negligent officers in their respective areas. He also directed the district coordination officers to personally monitor the performance of labour officials and keep a check of the district records. The 25 district are: Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Attock, Jhelum, Khanewal, Nankana Sahib, Lodhran, Layyah, Rajanpur, Pak Patan, Khushab, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Chakwal.
