Bail Before Arrest: Arguments in Deeba’s case on 15th

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday fixed April 15 for arguments on the pre-arrest bail of former MPA Farha Deeba who is accused of contesting elections on a fake degree. At the previous hearing, the judge had granted Deeba interim bail Rs50,000 bail bond and summoned police record of the case.  Deeba said she had been falsely accused as part of a conspiracy by her ex-husband Amjad Butt Pasroori. She said she had been nominated to a reserve seat on meeting all legal requirements. Pasroori only wanted to disturb her because she had obtained a decree of dissolution of marriage from the court when she found out about her former husband’s fraudulent activities, said Deeba.
