Anti-Encroachment Drive: Encroachers to be fined

Lower Dir CCO directed them to take action against shopkeepers for not clearing filth depots in front of their shops.

TIMERGARA: The civic body of the Lower Dir and district administration on Thursday launched a drive against encroachments at General Bus Stand and Timergara Bazaar in the district headquarters.

Lower Dir Chief Coordination Officer (CCO) Khizar Hayat Shah told APP that elimination of encroachment and removing filth depot from Timergara Bazaar is his top priority and he would take strict action against encroachers.

He also directed them to take action against the shopkeepers for not clearing filth depots in front of their shops.

The CCO Shah said operation would also be initiated against illegal water connections and nonpayment of water user charges.
