HYDERABAD: The constantly changing climate pattern is giving rise to extreme weather.

If risk reduction activities are not linked to these developments, we will not be able to deal with them adequately, warned the participants of a workshop titled, Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction Management, organised by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) on Wednesday.

Nearly 28 representatives from four non-profit organisations participated in the event designed to enable participants to integrate disaster management into their policies and programmes.

PPAF Disaster, Preparedness and Management team-leader, Naunehal Shah, said that the trainees will also train community volunteers.
