Nicl land scam: Ameen Fahim gets interim pre-arrest bail

The court confirmed the bail for Rs0.5 million till April 29.

Amin Fahim had appeared before the Sindh High Court for approval of 10 days of protective bail.

The Federal Anti-Corruption Court granted interim pre-arrest bail to Pakistan Peoples party’s senior leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim in NICL land scam case on Wednesday. The bail was set at Rs0.5 million.


The court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the former commerce minister, former secretary of commerce Suleman Ghani, two directors of NICL Amin Qasim Dada and Javed Syed, and Khalid Anwar and Amir Hussian in a case relating to a multi-million-rupee land scam on April 2. The court had directed to present the suspects in court on April 12.

Meanwhile, he had appeared before the Sindh High Court for approval of 10 days of protective bail which was granted with direction to appear before the trial court.

A day before his bail was set to expire, Fahim appeared before the federal Anti-Corruption Court and submitted an application for his interim pre-arrest bail. The court confirmed the bail for Rs0.5 million till April 29.
