‘No lamination paper’: 20,000 await passports since Feb

Most applicants said they had missed their Umra dates due to the delay.

GUJRANWALA: More than 20,000 applicants in the district are waiting to receive their passports for more than one-and-a-half-month. National Database and Registration Authority officials told The Express Tribune that the delay was caused due to the non-availability of lamination paper in Islamabad. They said the situation will soon be overcome. Most applicants said they had missed their Umra dates due to the delay.

Its totally unfair for delaying passports.Why should we wait even 90 percents paid for urgent fee and still don't know what is going on
