LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday that after coming to power, the PML-N would hold corrupt and dishonest politicians accountable.

Speaking to party candidates for election tickets, he slammed the opponents of Metro Bus Service, Danish Schools and Laptop Distribution Scheme.

“Why don’t these people utter a single word against those who got their loans waived, embezzled the Bank of Punjab’s money and did corruption in Steel Mills?” the former CM asked.

For five years, he said, corrupt rulers from the PPP looted and plundered the national exchequer.

“On the other hand, the Punjab government spent the public money on development schemes with complete transparency,” he said.
