SUKKUR: Six of a family were injured as their car overturned and fell into Sonan Shakh Canal near Ubauro in Ghotki district on Sunday night.
The family, hailing from Khanpur Katora (Punjab), was on its way to Sehwan Sharif when the driver, Awais Chahcar, lost control of the car due to overspeeding.
As a result Chachar, along with his wife, Sabira, and children, Zehra, Kulsoom, Asia and Asif, sustained injuries.
The villagers saved them from the canal and shifted them to the taluka hospital, where Sabira and Zehra were in a critical condition and were referred to the Rahim Yar Khan Hospital.
According to witnesses, the family didn’t drown due to low level of water though their car was completely damaged.
