TIMERGARA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Malik Fakhr Hayat’s application form for PK-93 Upper Dir-III was rejected on Saturday. Hayat’s papers were scrutinised by Returning Officer (RO) Naseer Ahmad who rejected him for not mentioning tax payments in his forms. Malik was awarded a ticket by the PML-N parliamentary board to contest in the upcoming polls. However, when the RO asked him a question regarding his National Tax Number (NTN), which was missing in his form, Malik could not answer. His application was then rejected for being incomplete. PML-N activists said they, along with Malik, will once again send the form and appeal to the Election Commission of Pakistan to accept the documents. Half of the PK-93 constituency is situated in Upper Dir with the other half in Lower Dir. It consists of the Warhi subdivision and has three union councils: Khal, Shal Palam and Tormang in the lower district.Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Malik Behram Khan’s form for the same seat was also rejected on Friday for being incomplete.
