ISLAMABAD:

Lack of a proper parking facility outside Polyclinic Hospital  creates a serious inconvenience for patients.

The hospital provides healthcare facilities to hundreds of patients but visitors have to struggle to find a place to park their vehicles, before entering the hospital.

The hospital administration has occupied a road running through Argentina Park, but it has been rendered useless because of the barriers put in front of it by the administration.

Qasim Ali, a patient visiting the hospital, said a watchman did not let him park his vehicle within the barricaded space although the area was meant for parking.

Polyclinic Hospital medical superintendent said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been requested several times to allocate a proper parking place for the hospital, but the civic authority has so far made no such arrangement.

Meanwhile, the CDA spokesman said that the barrier erected by the hospital was illegal. He denied that the hospital administration had requested the CDA to allot parking space. He said CDA was well aware of the inconvenience faced by patients and added that the issue would be solved soon.
