Provincial bureaucracy shuffled

Sindh govt issues a notification about the transfers and postings of some secretaries and DCOs.

KARACHI: The Sindh government issued a notification about the transfers and postings of some secretaries and district coordination officers (DCOs).

According to the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Iqbal Ahmed Bablani has been appointed the secretary of transportation while Mohammed Iqbal Dewan has been made a member of the Board of Revenue and Mumtaz Ali Zaidi has been appointed the secretary of industries.

Meanwhile, Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro has been appointed a member of the Board of Revenue for registration, stamps and evacuee property and Captain Liaquat Rind has been made the secretary for women development.

Jaffar Abbasi has replaced Manzoor Shaikh as the District Coordination Officer Thatta while Pervaiz Seehar has replaced Saleh Jumani as chief of the Reform Support Unit Programme.

Protocol director Niaz Abbasi has been made the DCO Jacobabad, additional home secretary Shafqat Abbasi has been appointed as the DCO Tando Allahyar and Tariq Memon has been asked to report to the S&GAD.

Riaz | 13 years ago | Reply out of 23 districts of Sindh, where DCO's would be of 21 and 20 grades, are not as per books. DCO Karachi only is required to be greade 21 officer, while DCO's of remaining districts of the grade 20, but presently grade 18 and 19 officials even are working as DCO's in majority of districts in Sindh.
