Foundry accident: Four workers burn in workplace fire

GUJRANWALA: Four factory workers were injured on Sunday in a fire at a foundry. They were taken to Civil Hospital, where doctors said that their condition was critical.

They were then sent to Lahore. The incident occurred at Malik Yaseen’s foundry in Qila Deedar Singh. Rescue 1122 officials said an explosion occurred as soon as one of the workers put the scrap in the burner.

Molten iron fell on four workers standing nearby. The workers were identified as Ashraf, Shahbaz, Muhammad Nazeer and Tasleem Shah.
