The eyewitness, a friend of Shahzeb Khan, was present the night of the incident and identified all four suspects in the court.
According to the eyewitness an argument took place between Shahzeb and Shahrukh after which the alleged killers followed Shahzeb and fired at his car.
After the firing took place, the servant Ghulam Mustafa Lashari got off the car and claimed that Shahzeb was not dead yet and that they should fire more.
The eyewitness went on to say that Shahrukh and Siraj then got off the car and fired at Shahzeb a few more times, causing his death.
According to the Express News correspondent, attempts were made to stall the case, however the court remained adamant on hearing the eye witnesses present.
Shahrukh’s father Sikander Jatoi was also present at the hearing.
There were reports of the case falling to pieces as witnesses retracted their statements earlier however today’s identification has strengthened the case.
More eyewitnesses are due to be heard as the case is underway.
Shahzeb, the 20-year-old son of a police officer, was shot dead in his car on December 25, 2012, in the upscale Defence neighbourhood of Karachi. Shahrukh, his friends Siraj, Sajjad Talpur and their house worker Lashari are being tried for murder.

Personally I think these guys Shahrukh J. and Siraj T. will be running for MPA or MNA seat in 10 years time, after their acquittal. It's always the same story and the same ending. Even if these killers get convicted in trial court, they will get acquitted on appeal - witnesses will retract and evidence will be "re-worked" and family of the poor dead Shahzeb will give in ultimately. It's Pakistan.
@Muhammad Ziad: Are you sure you have been following the same case? because we have been hearing the same account of how the events unfolded, over and over again. Next time, if you see you a person being shot, try to stop them instead of just being a keyboard warrior. Easier to comment then be brave enough to stand against sympathizers/supporters of evil!.

Is this the first ever witness anonymity order protecting the identity of the brave individual or just sensible journalism? Whichever it is well done, this is how we will overcome such atrocities and start locking people up in accordance with the law.
The government should provide 24 security to the eye witness to save his life.
This witness is lying. The story of how the events unfolded keeps changing. I put my wager that the next 'not bought' witness will have a different story. This guy is saying he witnessed the servant asking to put more bullets. Where was this guy ? Why did he not stop ? Lets wait for the next hearing.
Hats off to this eye witness as he has really done a brave thing.
The basic responsibility of an Islamic state is to uphold Justice... something that very much lacks from this so called Islamic Democratic Land of the Pure.

How will justice ever be done when ALL the wheels of justice appear to be either stopped or going in reverse.............justice delayed is justice denied.
As long as people like Shahzeb's eye witness friends are alive, Pakistan has hope. May Allah protect him.
I hope his friend and his family will be protected as you cannot trust people who feel they are above others and the law and can we say God. They think they are God when there is only one God!

It must have been pretty tough for the witnesses to come forward! But it was the right thing to do! And this isnt just for Shahzeb its for all the mothers, fathers, husbands , sons, daughters , brothers and sisters we know who have been mistreated! This is to show pakistan that we cant stay quiet anymore! I salute the witnesses that are coming forward!
Alhamdulillah! May Allah make law in this country applicable on everyone.
