LAHORE: Party chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazlur Rehman faction) Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that though Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) was their top priority for seat adjustments, it did not work out, Express News reported on Friday.

Adressing the media in Lahore, the JUI-F chief said that he is not scheduled to meet the Sharif brothers in the upcoming days, but if it were to happen he did not see a problem with it.

Speaking about Chaudhry Nisar, Rehman said “He is a brother to me, we have no differences.”

The JUI-F chief also clarified that there were no plans of seat adjustments with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

Rehman is due to contest three seats – NA-24 (DI Khan), NA-25 (DI Khan-cum-Tank) and NA-27 (Lakki Marwat) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata. The Maulana’s brother, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, will run for two provincial assembly seats – PK-66 (DI Khan-III) and PK-64 (DI Khan-I).
