“The interim chief minister of Balochistan told the chief election commissioner that all political parties of the province will be taking part in the upcoming elections. This is a very positive and important development,” he told the media.
“Earlier, Akhtar Mengal also had reservations, but now he has decided of taking part in elections,” Ahmed added.
The secretary further said that Caretaker CM Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai met with Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim in Quetta and discussed all aspects of the upcoming elections.
“He assured the CEC of helping the election commission in holding free, fair and transparent elections with the help of all government functionaries,” he added.
The CEC had gone to Quetta on Wednesday on a mission to pacify Baloch political leaders and persuade them to participate in the upcoming elections.
The CEC, along with other members of the commission, met the leadership of 13 parties, including the National Party Balochistan, Balochistan National Party (Awami), Balochistan National Party (Mengal) Hazara Democratic Party, Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl).

It is difficult to understand that although all the nationalists of Balochistan play the same music and dance to it, but it is difficult to understand that why dont they all dance together on the same music that they play. I would like to see the day for this to happen during my lifetime.
half truth is more dangerous than a lie secretary sahib!
@Adnan: It doesn't matter whether an Indian funded group takes part in elections because it will expose how little support these foreign controlled groups have. We all know the majority of Baluchis are firmly pro Pakistani. Why are so many Baluch keen on joining the Pak military and taking up Pak government jobs? Every Baluch I meet in Karachi or Lahore loves Pakistan. A minority of anti state criminals like Brahamdagh Bugti on the foreign payroll means little and the elections will show that. All Pakistanis agree that rural people in all under developed regions of the country deserve greater support and development. I too support increased ownership of Baluchi resources for locals in Baluchistan and I wish to see Gwader develop fully. At least now, greater consensus can be achieved on how best to give Baluch better development and prosperity in their home province which the foreign funded groups don't want.
A very positive development
Of course with the exception Indian funded, Geneva based Baluchistan Republican Party of Brahamdagh Bugti!!!
This is excellent news!!
