Assault: Shopkeeper beaten up

The police have registered a case for assault and robbery against unknown persons.

The arrested man told the police that he and the others had beaten up Dr Kazmi because he had asked his sister for her mobile phone number.

A shopkeeper was beaten up and injured over a petty dispute in Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi on Tuesday.


Zameer Khan lodged a complaint with the police that eight boys beat him up with sticks and vandalised his shop, after an altercation over sharing of mobile phone balance.

They also snatched two mobile phones and some cards from the shop, he added.

The police have registered a case for assault and robbery against unknown persons, however no arrests had been made when this report was filed.
