Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers set up a protest camp on Wednesday against the recent announcement regarding seat adjustment in Bahawalpur.
The camp has been set up at Fawara Chowk and is led by PTI city tehsil president Muhammad Adeel Aslam and youth president Afzal Ali.
The seat adjustment was done lately by Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi and PTI chairman Imran Khan.
PTI workers in Bahawalpur had expressed disappointed on the adjustment and set up a camp. They are demanding that Khan cancel the accommodation decision for Bahawalpur. The protesting workers said that their services had been ignored.
They said they had worked day in and day out to create a vote bank for the PTI in Bahawalpur and now another party would benefit from this. They said that the party chairman should revise the decision and listen to his workers.
They warned that if Khan did not take back the decision, PTI would be swept out of Bahawalpur.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Senior Vice President (Bahawalpur) Sheikh Abbas Raza said, “As a candidate, I support the decision taken by Imran Khan. But, as a native of Bahawalpur, I suggest that the party leadership take notice of this protest camp.”
He hoped that the workers’ efforts would not be forgotten.

Imran Khan must has to respect his and PTI's workers and loyal because if Imran Khan says that his workers are his assets and wants change by his workers then for Imran Khan his workers' opinion regarding coalition and seat adjustment with any party first and foremost must be respectable and honorable and Imran Khan must has to take into confidence his workers before taking any step regarding seat adjustment with any party and if not then Imran Khan may/shall loose his credibility,trustworthiness and popularity in his workers' hearts and thus PTI may/shall face the loss and defeat in the next general elections.......
It is amazing to see how the public never asked any questions from the previous leaders because they never provided the forums and never paid any attention to such forums or anyone's opinion.
While IK is leading with the vision of bringing Pakistan some law and order and picking up the pieces, people want to be babied. If one is not working for the country and their own satisfaction no pat on the back will ever be good enough.
IK starts a party and answers all questions so before his party even has a chance to govern people are already jumping on the bandwagon of negativity, everyone is expecting miracles overnight, instantly.
In a representative Democracy you vote for someone who makes decisions on your behalf - hopefully you agree with most of his/her decisions and you have to wait until the next election to do anything about it. If you strongly disagree with IK before he gets into office you should vote for someone else - unless your disagree with them even more (which seems to happen quite often).
ET at its best. There are hundreds of goods things happening in PTI everyday but.... forget it. Azaad media, huh
Nawabs of Bahawalpur are far more better than this newly rich guy Sheikh Abbas Raza himself. I have seldom seen Abbas Raza holding corner meetings, going for Fatiha or to any other event as PTI Vice President. This guy or the president of PTI Bahawalpur wont be able to attract the vote in this rural town and its vicinity so its better for them to stay quiet. :) They will get not more than 10% of votes from any constituency they contest.
No matter how much effort these guys have put for PTI Bahawalpur, still the vote bank is dominated by PML-N, as the demand of Bahawalpur province is very hot these days, PTI will surely benifit from this alliance as Nawab Sb and his party can take out a major chunk of votes in all Bahawalpur division (former Bahawalpur state). For me i m following Imran Khan since i got my yellow "Imran's Tiger" badge for selling tickets while SKMH was under construction and even i was confused who i will vote for, Bahawalpur Province Movement (BNAP) or guys like Abbas Raza who are using PTI as hobby. :) But Alhamdulilah Mr. Khan made it very clear for me. Thank you once again Imran Khan. we wont let u down.

@Hinf: To alliance with Ji, I think is a mistake both idealogically and politically. If PTI did not have an organizational set up then it would have sounded correct. But after intra party elections, PTI is in a position to handle election operations themselves. They dont need JI's expereince of going through electoral technicalities. Eventually JI will end up with some seats, which otherwise impossible for it to win when taking a solo flight.
Idealogocally, PTI's alliance with JI will send alarming signals to youth and educated secular segments of the society who are neutral but at the same time want chnage in Pakistan. THese segments will look to alternatives.. Because JI's is a die hard supporter of sectarian groups who are forcing thier interpretation of Islam on Pakistanis by suicide bombings and target killings.
Unity, Faith Discipline. Once a leader makes a decision, the followers should just be disciplined and continue for the greater cause, not personal glory. This is the reason West is ahead ie. Discipline and Hard Work.

Dont worry guys..Our Leader IK is hungry, he want to see PM Pakistan by any cost ,so he will make adujsment with all elected memebers without any term and condition.Bahalpur issue is the only exaple of this....because IK knows this is the first and last chance of his life.so keep it up OUR SONAMEEEEEE, we are with you.
Nazim, To me it shows that PTI is finally thinking as political party; there are positives and negatives in this approach. I hope the positives outweigh the negatives. I dont know the history of this Nawab and his politics so cant say.
The alliance with JI to me is more alarming. The rightish side of IKs thought is what worries me about him, and this an alliance while expected troubles me. Hopefully the party as a whole will be progressive ; and they are still the only ones without a collective negative record; so I lean towards them in the upcoming election.
Just thought of something, Karachi is terrible when it comes to traffic (because the public does not respect the general laws/rules). It would be good if PTI as a public service could instruct their Karachi members to obey the laws and obey traffic rules as a discipline. That would be a concrete example of their ability to talk to people (youth and others) at a grass root level. It would be good to see 4 of 10 bike weilding (yes, weilding, not riding) youths obeying traffic signals, and then seeing a sticker or something of PTI on their bikes when you look closely.
What a Joke! just two Office bearers protesting & what about the rest? & somebody must tell those protesting that seat adjustment doesn't mean u have surrendered to them Infact they 'll b collaborating with us, which can prove out to be fruitful for us..!

@Hinf: @faizan: PTI is claiming to sweep in the elections. Punjab where it is claiming to be most popular, the seat adjustment with JI and Nawab Sahib shows real hollowness in thier claim.
@R A: That's not democracy, that would be dictatorship of that group demanding it. Both point of views should be heard. Decision to be made after consultation.
